Flight Simulator Engineer

Responsibilities 
&nbsp;

The Spirit Wings &amp; Spirit Direct Pilot Pathway programs allows pilots enrolled at one of our&nbsp;select&nbsp;flight school or university program partnerships a direct pathway to the flight deck as a First Officer with Spirit Airlines.&nbsp;&nbsp;

While in the program cadets will receive:&nbsp;

	<li>Mentorship,&nbsp;guidance&nbsp;and training opportunities from members of the Flight Operations team throughout&nbsp;a student/instructor’s&nbsp;time in the program.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Cadets are issued a full Spirit Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) with&nbsp;early access&nbsp;to training materials to prepare for new hire training on the Airbus A320 series&nbsp;aircraft.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Spirit will provide Foreflight &amp; Jeppesen&nbsp;Pro&nbsp;subscriptions.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Cadets will&nbsp;be invited to a “Spirit Day” event at least once per year in which you will attend various presentations, be offered certain training opportunities, and will meet&nbsp;with Flight Operations leadership.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>

Contracted by the RCAF, CAE Qualified Flight Instructor Pilots will provide inflight instruction on the CT156 aircraft. CQFIs will become qualified to instruct students on Clearhood, Instrument, Navigation, Formation and Composite missions as depicted in the appropriate ITP and as applicable to the CQFI's assigned duties. CQFIs may also be required to work in Flying Instructors School, to conduct staff development, and/or conduct QFI training based on demonstrated performance. Each CQFI must maintain RCAF currency and proficiency requirements. Perform instructional in-flight missions with RCAF students/instructors, including pre and post mission brief and evaluate mission performance and readiness to progress through prescribed learning path as defined by the RCAF. <ul><li>Attend weather briefs applicable to assigned flight times;</li><li>Maintain flying proficiency, category and currency in accordance with applicable orders (B-GA-100, RCAF FOM, 2 CFFTS Orders and CQFI SOW);</li><li>Update FlightPro currencies and obligations as required;</li><li>Ensure that assigned students are progressing in accordance with the ITP;</li><li>Ensure that each student is given a comprehensive briefing prior to each dual/solo mission in accordance with instructional doctrine; </li><li>Execute instructional sorties in accordance with RCAF instructional doctrine;</li><li>Be able to execute all missions in the CT156 Phase II, III and/or FIS syllabi, including cross country and/or out and back missions;</li><li>Ensure each student is given a comprehensive debriefing following each dual mission;</li><li>Advise the Flight Comd or Deputy Flight Comd of any student flying deficiencies in accordance with 2 CFFTS orders and policies;</li><li>Complete and release a progress card in accordance with 2 CFFTS Orders. Completion should normally occur within 24 hours of training sortie completion where facilities permit, and ideally prior to the student's next training sortie;</li><li>Assist the flight commander in monitoring instructor continuity of assigned students as required; </li><li>Prepare and conduct presentations/briefings on instructional topics to include A Category ground school as applicable, </li><li>Follow CAF Flight Safety program and protocols in accordance with A-GA-135-001/AA-001 - Flight Safety for the Canadian Armed Forces manual.</li><li>May be assigned to perform Test Pilot duties as required.</li></ul> Must have previous experience as a qualified military pilot and must successfully complete RCAF-furnished conversion and flight instructor training on the CT156; Must successfully pass initial and/or regular assessments as required, administered and performed by appointed RCAF personnel of CQFIs on conversion syllabus PCs, FIC PCs, APC, IRT, rear seat proficiency checks and QFI Category check-flights. Civilian Qualified Flying Instructor Pilot

As a First Officer at Transavia, you will be responsible for the safety and efficiency of our challenging flight operations. You and the entire crew will deliver a truly great journey for both our passengers and our company. At Transavia, we value teamwork. During each flight, you make sure (under the direction of the Captain) that everyone on board has a safe and pleasant flight. You will work closely with the rest of the crew, as well as with the operational support colleagues before and during the flight, within and beyond Transavia. As a First Officer you will take off and land at a large variety of airports, from Greek islands and popular city break destinations to Norwegian fjords and snow-covered runways in Lapland. Lots of destinations with challenging factors such as high terrain and varying weather conditions. It's truly a pilot's dream job. You will also enjoy the best views in the world and share this experience with professional and enthusiastic colleagues. You will be part of a team of over 700 pilots, selected for their sense of responsibility and friendliness. You will work in the Flight Operations department, which also includes Technical Aviation Services, Flight Crew Training, Flight Operations Support and Project Pilots. Together we ensure safety on board and provide our passengers and colleagues with an optimal flight experience.
