Role Overview Transavia is looking for experienced Ground Engineers (GWK) or Certifying Technicians who enjoy the more complex technical challenges and are keen to take on Aircraft On Ground (AOG) situations. As Technical Specialist AOG you are responsible for delivering a more stable technical operation by reducing and, where possible, shortening technical disruptions. You analyse and rectify complex technical faults, coordinate actions during a wide range of AOG situations, and use the Aircraft Health Monitoring (AHM) system to detect potential system issues early and prevent AOGs. Transavia is modernising its fleet with the new Airbus A320neo and A321neo, and your experience will make an important contribution to a safe and efficient operation. To keep your licences valid and log hands-on hours, around 25% of your shifts across the year are worked as a (senior) Certifying Technician (GWK) within the Maintenance Teams of Technical Services. Shifts run Monday to Sunday but only during days and evenings — there are virtually no night shifts. You will join the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) of around 7 employees within Fleet & Technical Services (F&TS), which works from the hangar at Schiphol East and on the line. The MCC is the heart of the operation and comprises Technical Specialists, Maintenance Control and line planning. During a shift this is a solo position. You report hierarchically to the Line Maintenance Lead and functionally, during shifts, to the Maintenance Controller on duty. Key Responsibilities Analyse and resolve complex technical faults and coordinate actions during AOG situations Use the Aircraft Health Monitoring system to detect possible system complaints early and prevent AOGs Ensure efficient technical handling of operational disruptions within the Maintenance Control Centre, particularly during AOG situations Coordinate preventive maintenance to minimise disruptions and defects Support Technical Services with complex defects and damage assessments Improve and implement working processes Work approximately 25% of shifts as a (senior) Certifying Technician to maintain your licences Requirements Strong communication and decision-making skills, solution-oriented and resilient under pressure You embrace diversity You gain energy from change, collaboration and achieving results Licences & Qualifications Certifying Technician on the Boeing 737NG and/or Airbus A320/A321neo.
