About the Company Airbus Defence and Space SAU carries out A400M MRO and retrofit work in Getafe, Spain. Role Overview New positions have arisen for Aircraft B1, B2 and B1/B2 Maintenance Technicians in Getafe for A400M MRO and retrofit work. The work is based in Getafe and normally on a double shift. Working as licensed maintenance staff within Airbus Defence and Space includes the performance and certification of maintenance tasks, including the supervision and certification of tasks carried out by unlicensed mechanics. Key Responsibilities Execute modification embodiment and repair working parties, managing complex, high-value, cross-functional projects compliant with EASA and FAR Part-145 airworthiness regulations. Conduct upgrade embodiment activities on external customer aircraft. Perform major and complex repair projects. Perform and certify both scheduled and unscheduled tasks previously agreed with the customer. Cover planned maintenance, Service Bulletins arising from modifications not carried out at the Final Assembly Line or appearing after aircraft delivery, and customer-requested repairs or maintenance tasks. Coordinate small groups of non-licensed mechanics performing maintenance activities, as required. Perform checks, inspections, removal and installation of components, and systems adjustment. Study technical manuals and engineering drawings. Provide assistance to aircraft technicians and mechanics on various tasks. Remove and disassemble defective aircraft parts. Licences & Qualifications EASA or EMAR Part-66 licence B1, B2 or B1/B2. An included type rating is a plus. Experience Experience in MRO and/or retrofit work is desirable. Experience working to Service Bulletin and AMM documentation. Mechanical and structural knowledge will be taken into account. BITE test, functional test and troubleshooting skills. Experience as a team manager. Requirements The position requires a security clearance, or eligibility for clearance by the recognised authorities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
