Job Description

About the Company Since 1965 Transavia has made flying accessible to everyone. Its passengers enjoy annual holidays, family visits abroad and new destinations across Europe and North Africa. This is done together with more than 3,000 colleagues — in the air in the cockpit and cabin, and on the ground in technical services and the offices — all working to deliver a genuinely great journey, now and in the future. Role Overview Transavia is looking for a Licensed Aircraft Mechanic (Cat A) to keep its fleet in top condition. Between flights you perform line maintenance so that aircraft are ready for safe departure; in the hangar you go deeper into aircraft technology, one day replacing an engine and the next disinfecting a water system. You start as a Licensed Aircraft Mechanic and grow with Transavia towards becoming a Ground Engineer (GWK). You will join the Fleet & Technical Services (F&TS) department at the hangar at Schiphol East, which ensures the technical readiness of the fleet and includes Aircraft Maintenance, Materials Management, Engineering, Planning & Control and support teams such as Maintenance Control, Project Management and F&TS Support. In the words of Certifying Technician Jelmer, the 180-plus mechanics range from young starters to seasoned professionals and are defined by great team spirit.
