Role Overview SWISS trains polymechanics (Polymechaniker EFZ) specialising in aircraft maintenance. If you are interested in technology and aircraft, this apprenticeship combines both in a training programme with a future. Polymechanics in aircraft maintenance are sought-after specialists with versatile deployment options: you take on the inspection, servicing and repair of aircraft and aircraft components, working closely with other specialists directly on the aircraft and in the workshops. Key Responsibilities Years 1 and 2: basic training in the SWISS TechOps apprentice workshop, which is exempt from inter-company courses. You build a broad foundation as a polymechanic with a focus on manual, conventional and CNC-controlled manufacturing and on the assembly of mechanical and pneumatic components Years 3 and 4: specialised training in aircraft maintenance with SWISS at Zurich-Kloten Airport One to two days per week of theoretical training at the vocational school in Bülach Option to attend the vocational baccalaureate school (BMS) Option to obtain the EASA Category A aircraft mechanic licence during the apprenticeship What We Offer A four-year apprenticeship concluding with the Swiss Federal VET Diploma (EFZ), leaving you well prepared for a career in aviation Hands-on work on aircraft and components with SWISS TechOps specialists Requirements Completion of compulsory schooling (lower secondary level A or B) with good grades Completed taster apprenticeship in the trade Manual dexterity and technical interest Enjoyment of technology and of the English language Reliability, a sense of responsibility and team spirit Resilience and willingness to work shifts in the third and fourth year of the apprenticeship Additional Information Entry level: apprenticeship. Requirements
