Job Description

Role Overview Transavia is looking for experienced Certifying Technicians (in Dutch, grondwerktuigkundigen or GWK) for its Aircraft On Ground (AOG) team who do not shy away from complex technical challenges. The work is in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same and there are virtually no night shifts. As AOG Technical Specialist you are responsible for delivering a more stable technical operation by reducing and, where possible, shortening technical disruptions. You analyse and rectify complex technical faults, coordinate action during a wide range of AOG situations, and use the Aircraft Health Monitoring (AHM) system to spot possible system complaints early and prevent AOGs. Transavia is modernising its fleet with the introduction of the Airbus A320neo and A321neo. Your experience contributes to a safe and efficient operation and helps keep the fleet in top condition. To keep your licences valid and maintain your hands-on hours, about 25% of your shifts across the year are worked as a (senior) Certifying Technician within the Maintenance Teams of Technical Services. You work Monday to Sunday on a varying pattern, in day and evening shifts only, so without night shifts. Key Responsibilities Ensure efficient technical handling of operational disruptions within the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC), particularly during AOG situations Coordinate preventive maintenance to minimise faults and disruptions Support Technical Services with complex faults and damage assessments Improve and implement working processes Licences & Qualifications Certifying Technician on the Boeing 737NG and/or Airbus A320/A321neo; applications are welcome from candidates not licensed on all types, as further training can be provided Knowledge and experience as a Certifying Technician in maintaining procedures within Part-145 (MOE) Requirements Communicative, decisive, solution-oriented and resilient under stress Embraces diversity Energised by change, collaboration and achieving results What We Offer Gross monthly salary (scale 8T) between €3,933 and €5,786 Shift allowance of up to approximately €670 gross per month Temporary retention allowance of 8.5% Second type allowance of €107 gross per month if you hold a licence for both the 737 and the Airbus while both are in operation Holiday allowance of 8% and a year-end payment of 8.33% Travel expenses allowance Personal budget of €700 for your wellbeing, for example a gym subscription, a bicycle or home-working equipment At least 27 holiday days Development opportunities through the in-house Learning Hub A varied workplace: as well as the MCC you will regularly be in the hangar, the line stations and the Operations Control Centre The option to exchange one recognised religious holiday a year for a non-recognised one Staff travel under the IPB scheme at attractive rates, subject to availability Additional Information Where you will work: the Fleet & Technical Services (F&TS) department works from the hangar at Schiphol-Oost and on the line, and is responsible for preparing the aircraft technically. Within F&TS you join the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) of around seven people, made up of Technical Specialists, Maintenance Control and line planning. During a shift this is a solo position. You report hierarchically to the Line Maintenance Lead and functionally, during shifts, to the duty Maintenance Controller.
