Role Overview Transavia Netherlands is looking for an Aircraft Maintenance Technician B1/B2 to help keep its fleet in optimal condition. Between flights you perform essential safety inspections to make sure each aircraft is flight-ready; in the hangar you take on deeper technical challenges, one moment replacing an engine and the next maintaining critical aircraft systems. No two days are the same, and the role suits someone comfortable with alternating weekend, evening and daytime shifts. You will join the Fleet & Technical Services (F&TS) department, based in the hangar at Schiphol East, which is responsible for the technical readiness of the fleet. F&TS covers Aircraft Maintenance, Materials Management, Engineering, Planning & Control and supporting teams such as Maintenance Control, Project Management and F&TS Support. As Certifying Technician Jelmer puts it: the team of more than 180 technicians mixes all experience levels, and the teamwork and camaraderie make the job special. Key Responsibilities Perform safety inspections between flights so that every aircraft is flight-ready Carry out hangar maintenance, from engine replacement to maintaining critical aircraft systems Maintain the entire aircraft from nose to tail, working both in the hangar and on the line in the middle of operations Work alternating shifts including weekends, evenings and daytime Travel occasionally to destinations such as Barcelona or Reykjavik to resolve technical issues Work on the Airbus A321neo as the fleet of around 50 aircraft is modernised — by next year more than half of the Schiphol fleet will be Airbus Requirements Precise, safety-conscious working style with strong situational awareness Able to work independently and collaboratively Excellent spoken and written English You embrace diversity Because of security clearance requirements you must have lived and worked in the EU for at least the last 8 years; applicants who do not meet this criterion cannot apply Licences & Qualifications Vocational diploma at MBO level 4 in aviation maintenance (or equivalent) Valid Part-66 AML B1 or B1/B2 licence Experience Practical hands-on experience with Boeing 737 and/or Airbus A320/A321 aircraft; training is provided for other types Documented practical experience supported by a logbook What We Offer Competitive salary up to €5,672 gross per month (based on a 40-hour week) Rotating shift bonus of approximately €834 gross per month, depending on your schedule Type rating bonus of €107 gross per month for holding both 737 and Airbus qualifications while both are operational Holiday allowance of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.33% Retention allowance of 8.5% of gross base monthly salary under the collective labour agreement (CAO) A one-year contract to start, with the prospect of a permanent contract Personal budget of €700 for your well-being, for example gym membership, a bicycle or home office equipment 27 vacation days Development opportunities through the in-house Learning Hub, plus (team) coaching and the option of Dutch language training A workplace in the hangar at Schiphol East Option to exchange one recognised religious holiday per year for an unrecognised one The opportunity to join 'Young Transavia' Flying at attractive rates through the IPB scheme, subject to seat availability Additional Information Upload your CV and motivation letter via the application button, and include a copy of both sides of your AML if you hold one.
