Role Overview A vacancy for an A330 B1/B2 Aircraft Maintenance Technician has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in Getafe, Madrid. The successful applicant will join the AD&S Final Assembly Line team on a double shift, working as part of the Final Assembly Line FAL A330 MRTT Flight Line Centre - AG4 team. This is a challenging position combining a desirable military background, an EASA Part 66 licence as well as EMAR/FR 66, and working in an environment where planning changes on an almost daily basis. As part of the Flight Line Centre - AG4 organisation, the candidate shall provide support to A330 MRTT and A310 DEMO when required. Key Responsibilities Prepare, perform and certify base and line maintenance works as B1 certifying staff, working with a very small group of non-licensed technicians when needed. Prepare the aircraft for flight by implementing on the aircraft the items recorded in the Test Preparation Sheet (TPS) issued by the Flight Ops organisation for every flight. Carry out production works on the aircraft to prepare it for ground tests managed by the MRTT Design Office and supervised by FAL Quality, as well as provide the required support during test execution. Carry out retrofit mechanical works and tests on the aircraft in accordance with the applicable retrofit service bulletin or applicable job cards. Perform aircraft discrepancy fixing, troubleshooting, handling and servicing. Work abroad at AD&S customers' sites during aircraft delivery, to support ground and flight test campaigns, to support the AD&S Services organisation in implementing service bulletins on site, and to carry out aircraft conversion works at AD&S subcontractor premises. Requirements English: fluent level. Spanish: negotiation level. Candidate must be willing to work abroad for limited periods of time on a regular basis. The candidate shall be willing to obtain National and NATO clearance (HPS, Habilitación Personal de Seguridad). Experience of working to high quality standards and an understanding of work recording and job traceability. Experience in reading and understanding detailed technical data and manufacturers' maintenance manuals and instructions in English. High knowledge of aircraft health and safety procedures and a good standard of computer literacy. Licences & Qualifications Mandatory: aircraft maintenance licence EASA PART 66 category B1, aircraft rating Airbus A330 (RR TRENT 700 & GE CF6), without limitations. Highly recommended: a valid EASA PART 66 category B2 aircraft maintenance licence with the A330. Highly appreciated: holding national and NATO security clearance (SC). Experience Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in an Airbus aircraft maintenance environment. At least 2 years working on the A330 (RR TRENT 700) and/or (GE CF6). Candidates shall be able to demonstrate, by delivering a copy of the relevant records during the selection process, up-to-date aircraft continuous training and experience on this aircraft in accordance with EASA regulation.
