Job Description

About the Company Airbus (Chengdu) Lifecycle Services Ltd provides aircraft storage, maintenance and dismantling/decommissioning services. The department is organised into three activities: aircraft storage, aircraft maintenance and dismantling/decommissioning. Role Overview This position is responsible for managing a team of several technicians. The field of activity covers maintenance work associated with the storage of contracted aircraft, maintenance and modification work, and equipment removal work as part of dismantling and decommissioning operations. At operational level, the role cooperates with the Safety & Quality department, the Procurement department (including the supply chain function), the Project Manager and the line manager. Key Responsibilities Customer activities Manage internal and external customers and ensure effective customer relationship management. Take part in customer progress meetings as requested and assist the Project Manager in negotiating technical points with the customer. Operations, governance and compliance Run day-to-day operations and ensure effective use of resources to achieve all targets set. Ensure compliance with discipline, work regulations and safety and environmental guidelines. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety requirements under current legislation and Airbus rules. Ensure all maintenance, storage and recycling activities, including the correction of defects, are performed in accordance with approved data and in compliance with the organisation's procedures and EASA/FAA rules and requirements. Ensure proper follow-up of working documents, including signing and approving tasks carried out. Report any non-conformities observed (NRC). Propose technical solutions in accordance with the manufacturer's documentation, based on own skills and experience and in agreement with the Project Manager, and assist teams with complex tasks or major problems. Be proactive in seeking efficient solutions with the manager for daily managerial, technical and quality problems. Daily work and team management Carry out administrative follow-up (time booking by time and operation), define schedules and team assignments daily, and participate in drawing up and scheduling operations. Consider, schedule and approve the work to be carried out. Set daily production objectives (quality, meeting deadlines), organise schedules accordingly and follow up on working hours and schedules. Anticipate needs and ensure the availability of tools and supplies required (small tools, equipment rental and similar). Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of work stations. Report obstacles that may affect the work schedule to the supervisor and functional reporting line, suggesting mitigating actions and solutions. Report all difficulties related to technical problems encountered during operations. People development Manage the people resources for the division or department and ensure continuous people development. Ensure human resources, skills and versatility are maintained and that staff assigned to each job are suitable and eligible. State the needs in terms of human resources and workload/headcount optimisation in liaison with the Project Manager and subject to manager approval. Forecast recruitment needs, especially for temporary staff, together with the Project Manager, and provide technical expertise and skills development (e.g. training) to supervised staff. Ensure the integration of new recruits (introduction to teams, safety training and similar). Deploy a continuous improvement approach in all daily operations and carry out dedicated projects and actions. Ensure facilities and teams are tailored to workload and capacity needs, and state and justify needs accordingly. Ensure a proper level of communication within teams, lead and motivate teams to achieve objectives, organise work and monitor progress. Help foster an engaged working environment and embody and promote Airbus group values and strategy within the team. Other tasks assigned by the manager. Licences & Qualifications Licence: CAAC Part-66 TA licence with English level 3 or above. Type rating: qualification on A320 aircraft types; A330 or 737 type is a plus. Education: aeronautical vocational high school diploma or above. Experience At least 10 years of experience in CAAC and EASA Part-145 environments, including 2 years as a team leader. Requirements Language: fluent written and spoken English. Ability to work with the AMM, CMM, IPC and similar documentation on Airbus World and MyBoeingFleet, and the skills to perform the tasks. Technical knowledge: aircraft technical documents; aeronautical regulations (Part-145); technical and regulatory formalities related to the work site; occupational health, safety and environmental regulations; aircraft quality regulations. Soft skills: managerial ability with team spirit, emotional intelligence, vigilance and attention, independence and adaptability, responsiveness and flexibility, analysis and overview, ability to take decisions and initiatives, customer focus.
