Role Overview Responsible for the supervision and coordination of all maintenance functions on shift at the assigned location, ensuring activities are performed safely, in line with schedule requirements and in compliance with all established company, regulatory and manufacturer procedures. The role assigns aircraft maintenance technicians and related personnel to achieve maximum productivity and cost control, ensures the team has the appropriate resources available and holds them accountable for the work assigned and performed. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and direction to the on-shift labour workforce to maximise productivity and output while ensuring necessary resources are available Build and reinforce a fair, respectful work environment through consistent application of CBA work rules and company policies Execute station performance goals and objectives, aligned with divisional and company goals Maintain a high level of awareness of operational, safety and human resource performance objectives Oversee the safety and security of aircraft and operations to ensure regulatory compliance of technical operations activities Maintain a high level of communication with employee groups within the station Report the status of operations and highlight significant events to leadership, while directing assigned station personnel so station and divisional objectives are achieved Licences & Qualifications FAA A&P Certificate required High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's licence Preferred: bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience in aviation management, engineering, business or a related field Experience 5 years in the aircraft maintenance industry Extensive knowledge of aircraft maintenance operations and applicable FAA regulations Preferred: 2 years in a leadership role within a maintenance organisation including a unionised labour workforce, with a proven successful track record, and strong technical knowledge of the fleet types operated and their maintenance programmes Requirements Meets or exceeds operational performance goals, including on-time performance, maintenance check span, productivity and safety objectives Identifies the need for change or improvement and takes corrective action, or works with leadership to resolve issues Builds and maintains a professional, productive work environment for labour groups and the supervisor team, and communicates effectively with employees to align the team for success Identifies and understands issues, problems and opportunities; compares data from different sources to draw conclusions; chooses a course of action or develops solutions consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences Maintains a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill in position-related areas and keeps up with current developments and trends Sets high standards of performance and assumes responsibility and accountability for completing assignments Must be legally authorised to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship Successful completion of an interview is required to meet job qualifications Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position What We Offer Base pay range for this role is $134,663.40 to $164,588.60, dependent on job-related factors such as experience, education and skills Eligibility for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards Competitive benefits may include medical, dental, vision, life, accident and disability cover, parental leave, employee assistance programme, commuter benefits, paid holidays, paid time off, 401(k) and flight privileges
