Role Overview This is a speculative application for aircraft mechanic roles in line and hangar maintenance. As an Aircraft Mechanic you will work on aircraft, aircraft systems and accessories in line with the relevant technical manuals and instructions. Key Responsibilities Carry out work on aircraft, aircraft systems and accessories in accordance with the relevant aircraft technical manuals and instructions. Perform routine tasks and checks and rectify defects on the flight line and in the hangar. Ensure all duties are accomplished in accordance with EASA and Cargolux procedures and standards. Document and sign off the work performed. Licences & Qualifications Secondary technical education, or a completed apprenticeship with a focus on aircraft mechanics. Completed Category A basic training and/or the majority of the modules for an EASA AML B1 or B2 licence. Holding an EASA AML A, B1 and/or B2 licence is an advantage. Experience Ideally between one and three years of relevant experience in the field. Experience on B747-400, B747-8 or B777 aircraft maintenance is an advantage. Requirements Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage. Open-minded, comfortable working with diverse groups of people. Able to work both in a team and independently. Good standard knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) and Outlook. Valid driving licence. Additional Information Working conditions: Permanent full-time position based in Luxembourg, on a rotating shift schedule (morning, afternoon, night) including weekends and public holidays. Occasional travel may be required. A certificate of good conduct (criminal record extract) will be required if selected. The successful candidate must obtain a valid medical fitness certificate for the job, issued by the Company doctor, before starting employment. The position qualifies as safety-sensitive personnel under EU Regulation 965/2012, so the successful candidate must be tested for psychoactive substances before starting employment. The grade of the position depends on the experience of the selected candidate.
