Job Description

About the Company Our client is a leading budget airline in the Middle East. Role Overview The airline is looking for a Shift Manager - Line Maintenance who will lead an assigned team of engineers, ensuring the safe and efficient maintenance and repair of aircraft. This is a full-time permanent position that requires relocation, with education sponsorship and a visa provided for successful candidates. Key Responsibilities Act as the main contact point for stakeholders such as MCC, development and planning engineers, and the Quality Assurance team in assimilating, delivering and following up on the day-to-day maintenance tasks of the line maintenance team Lead a team of engineers and technicians to carry out maintenance work on aircraft and rectify or reduce defects using a range of sources and means Supervise the execution of third-party service level agreements, ensuring all engineers and technicians performing the required tasks are well trained and licensed in the respective category Review aircraft operational status reports daily, ensuring tasks loaded by MCC or the planning engineers are executed on time, cost-effectively and successfully, while MCC is kept updated on any changes to the pre-approved plan Coordinate constantly with MCC on pending aircraft problems that cause concern or could result in operational disruption or a drop in service standards during the shift Provide guidance, monitoring and performance assessment to line maintenance engineers and technicians Monitor licence approvals and renewals, keep records and reports up to date, and highlight staff performance concerns to management to ensure adherence to Quality Assurance and GCAA regulations Maintain the line maintenance manuals, facilities, offices, machinery, equipment and tools to approved standards and operational requirements Produce daily reports on planned and short-term plan (STP) maintenance activities, AOG events and accidents, and communicate these to MCC, Engineering Planning, the Head of Maintenance and other concerned parties Licences & Qualifications Valid GCAA AMEL or equivalent Experience 9+ years' experience in a line maintenance environment, including 3 years in aircraft maintenance supervision and management in a similar capacity, with at least 2 years leading teams independently Exposure to internal and external audit operations and practices related to maintenance and safety Able to guide and monitor team performance against approved policies, procedures and operating manuals, and in line with adopted regulations and quality standards What We Offer Full-time permanent position Education sponsorship and visa provided Relocation to the United Arab Emirates Additional Information Apply now with your latest up-to-date CV. Requirements
