Role Overview Collins Aerospace is looking for a Senior Technician, Manufacturing Operations to work onsite at its Winston-Salem, North Carolina facility, performing aircraft and component maintenance in compliance with FAA Part-145 and company procedures. Work location: Onsite, 1455 Fairchild Rd, Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Eligibility: must be authorised to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future; no immigration sponsorship or export authorisation will be offered. No security clearance required. Key Responsibilities Perform aircraft and component maintenance in compliance with FAA Part-145 and company procedures. Support inspection, repair, testing and return-to-service activities under qualified guidance. Maintain required training and qualifications and adhere to safety and quality standards. Complete accurate maintenance documentation and report discrepancies promptly. Assist with troubleshooting, non-routine tasks and shifting operational priorities. Properly manage tools, equipment and materials, and maintain organised, compliant work areas. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, and participate in turnovers and meetings. Support continuous improvement, training programmes and efficiency initiatives. Create and manage MRO work orders within repair station systems. Support component induction, validate technical data and confirm repair capabilities. Apply aviation warranty adjudication processes and documentation requirements. Identify, document and track product issues relating to parts, data or capability gaps. Coordinate with engineering, quality, planning and customer service on technical issues. Support customer service with technical information, status updates and troubleshooting. Requirements Typically requires a high school diploma or AA/AS degree (or other two-year post-high-school training) with a minimum of 4 years' relevant experience. Must be authorised to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future. Experience with Microsoft products such as Word and Excel. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Licences & Qualifications Preferred: A&P (Airframe & Powerplant) experience. Preferred: background in FAA documentation. Experience Preferred: experience in a highly regulated industry, especially aerospace or automotive. Preferred: experience working in a testing and quality assurance environment. Preferred: high attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and compliance. Preferred: well organised with solid judgement, able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: experience with the JD Edwards ERP system. The range is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels; RTX considers the role and associated responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training and key skills when extending an offer. Additional Information This position is considered safety-sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines. The candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulation 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40, and employment consideration is contingent on successfully passing a DOT pre-employment drug test. Role type: Onsite. Employees in onsite roles work primarily onsite; this includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of the products.
