Key Responsibilities Work with maintenance and quality control personnel to resolve repetitive defects on structures, engines, components and aircraft systems. Ensure all scheduled maintenance activities are performed within the time limits established in the approved maintenance program. Prepare heavy maintenance forecasts for aircraft and engines, taking account of labour, tooling, equipment, parts and materials. Check completed work packages, non-routines and task cards, verifying that they are duly completed and signed in line with current DHL policies. Raise requisitions for the parts needed to keep aircraft in an airworthy condition and follow up on the status of each request. Comply with safety precautions while performing assigned duties, ensuring industrial safety standards are followed by assigned personnel. Coordinate work package completion with the maintenance planner to ensure adequate manpower coverage for the timely completion of assigned tasks. Ensure all TRAX data relating to the maintenance tasks assigned to your work group is complete and up to date. Generate and review internal procedures relating to assigned job and departmental duties. Promptly inform the maintenance manager of any potential problem that could affect personnel, safety requirements or aircraft maintenance. Licences & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. DGAC Type 1 aircraft technician licence with airframe and powerplant ratings. FAA A&P licence. Experience Five years' experience in aircraft maintenance. Two years' experience in a leadership or equivalent position. Intermediate to advanced spoken and written English. High proficiency in the use of aviation technical maintenance manuals. High-level TRAX skills and strong troubleshooting skills and practices. High level of knowledge of current aviation regulations.
