Role Overview Neos is looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Controller to join its Maintenance Control Center (MCC). The MCC is the airline's technical control room, operating 24/7 and responsible for real-time management of the airworthiness and operational status of the in-service fleet. As Maintenance Controller Officer you are the main real-time technical reference point for operational decisions on the Boeing 737 NG/MAX and 787 Dreamliner fleet, working closely with Operations Control, CAMO and Maintenance as well as with Flight and Ground Operations. The role is based on site. Key Responsibilities Operational command and airworthiness control Exercise primary technical authority for Go/No-Go decisions within Neos' EASA-approved operational and airworthiness framework. Manage and apply MEL/CDL procedures and related deferred defects, ensuring correct documentation, regulatory compliance and clear operational communication. Provide CAMO approvals for internal and external maintenance activities according to established processes. Fleet monitoring and technical decision-making Proactively and continuously monitor the technical status of the fleet using tools such as AMOS, aircraft health monitoring systems and operational reports, identifying degradation trends and mitigating in-service risks. Assess pilot and technician reports to identify emerging or repetitive defects and define the most appropriate troubleshooting strategies and maintenance actions. Technical coordination and operational recovery Lead the technical response during Aircraft On Ground events, including fault assessment, recovery planning, coordination of maintenance activities and material sourcing and logistics. Work closely with the Operations department to balance technical risk against aircraft availability. Ensure maintenance cover across all bases and outstations, including resources such as flying spanners, Tech-on-Call and external MROs. Act as the central technical reference point across all company departments during real-time operational events. Serve as the main technical interface with OEMs and external support organisations during complex troubleshooting and operational disruption. Maintain a rigorous event log and structured shift handovers to ensure continuity of operational decisions. Requirements Proven ability to take responsibility and make technical decisions under pressure during operational disruption. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in Italian and English. Ability to coordinate and direct technical activities remotely across multiple stations and time zones. Willingness to work structured shift patterns supporting 24-hour operations. Licences & Qualifications Aircraft maintenance licence or a degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Working knowledge of EASA Part-M, Part-CAMO and Part-145 and their practical application in airline operations. Experience Proven experience in aircraft maintenance or live operational environments, typically gained as a certifying technician in a Part-145 organisation or in an active Maintenance Control Center. Experience with aircraft maintenance software and tracking systems such as AMOS or equivalent MRO systems. Familiarity with aircraft health monitoring systems. Operational experience on Boeing 737 and/or Boeing 787 fleets is preferred. What We Offer Indicative salary range of EUR 40,000 to EUR 60,000 per year; contractual grading and specific pay are defined at interview stage based on skills and years of proven experience in the role. Requirements
