Role Overview Independently performs a variety of aircraft modifications and maintenance functions on AOG (aircraft on ground) aircraft, on road trips and within the Product Support organisation. The post holder must live within one hour of Luton Airport. Key Responsibilities Be available on an on-call basis, able to be on site or dispatched on the FAST aircraft within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream Act as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer, correctly relaying the aircraft schedule and return-to-service expectations Perform required AOG maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical and avionics systems, working independently and consistently Comply with internal and EASA inspection and documentation requirements Act as an inspector in support of a specific aircraft, line or base maintenance input in accordance with MOE Part 1.4.6, as revised Certify only those tasks for which the holder has been trained and authorised; inspect and certify at the Luton main base and at other locations worldwide For base maintenance, this can include Category C certification for those qualified in accordance with MOE Part 3.4, as revised Carry out any other maintenance tasks requested by the Maintenance Team Leader Properly complete work order sign-offs, logbook entries, shift turnovers, expense reports and all other paperwork in a timely manner, and ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the customer and provide one-on-one direct familiarisation briefings on the road trip Promote and ensure that the quality of workmanship in the final product meets a standard acceptable to EASA and the UK CAA, complying with statutory and company standards for all maintenance and design change work on aircraft and components, including standards of cleanliness and tidiness Coordinate with Line Service and FBO operations to schedule and assist with aircraft movements Arrange, as needed, for overhaul or repair of customer property; inspect and operate all interior installations and record discrepancies Provide regular updates on aircraft status and customer support activity to the Field Service Representative and management Comply with the company's Maintenance Organisation Exposition and Safety Management System requirements, including all health and safety requirements Understand and participate in assigned personal Employee Performance Review (EPR) goals Complete and attend all mandatory and identified training courses and computer-based training Ensure all relevant corporate policies are understood and complied with, and attend assigned meetings with internal and external customers Stand in as Senior Technician as requested, and perform other duties as assigned Requirements Located within one hour of Luton Airport Valid driving licence and valid passport required Working knowledge of company policies and procedures, the Repair Station and Quality Control Manual, pertinent process specifications and technical reference materials Ability to travel extensively, at short notice, both domestically and internationally Formal training in Gulfstream product line maintenance procedures and practices preferred, to include FlightSafety maintenance initial training for the specific models supported Licences & Qualifications UK CAA B1 or B1/B2 engineer's licence with a minimum of three Gulfstream aircraft type ratings Full EASA Part-66 B1, B2 or B1/B2 licence also required Experience Successfully completed an aviation sector apprenticeship or equivalent Extensive combined experience in the inspection, maintenance or servicing of large / mid-size aircraft (CAT 1) Additional Information Job category: Service Center Travel: Up to 25% Shift: FAST 9x9, 5 days off Employment type: Full-time Posting end date: 30 July 2026 Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position, unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee.
Requirements

- Carry out any other maintenance tasks requested by the Maintenance Team Leader
- Properly complete work order sign-offs, logbook entries, shift turnovers, expense reports and all other paperwork in a timely manner, and ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications
- Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the customer and provide one-on-one direct familiarisation briefings on the road trip
- Promote and ensure that the quality of workmanship in the final product meets a standard acceptable to EASA and the UK CAA, complying with statutory and company standards for all maintenance and design change work on aircraft and components, including standards of cleanliness and tidiness
