Role Overview STS Technical Services is hiring Senior A&P Mechanics in Pompano Beach, Florida. In this role you will perform and lead advanced aircraft maintenance, repairs, inspections, diagnostics, troubleshooting and documentation in accordance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, Repair Station Manual requirements and Quality Control Manual procedures. The Senior A&P Mechanic serves as a technical expert and working leader within the maintenance operation, responsible for advanced maintenance work, complex repairs and modifications, system diagnostics, documentation accuracy and the support of junior mechanics through coaching, training and oversight. Key Responsibilities Perform and lead advanced maintenance, repairs and inspections in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications, including IPC, AMM, OHM, CMM and related technical data Serve as a technical expert and mentor to junior mechanics, providing guidance, coaching and oversight on maintenance procedures and best practices Train, support and develop junior mechanics while contributing to a strong team-oriented maintenance environment Conduct detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting of airframe structures, powerplants and aircraft systems Oversee and execute complex repairs and modifications, including component overhaul, system calibration and structural repairs Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and in compliance with the Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual Maintain accurate logbook entries and proper documentation of all maintenance performed Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance and Service Management to resolve technical issues and improve operational efficiency Promote and maintain safe work practices while supporting continuous improvement initiatives Licences & Qualifications FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate required Inspection Authorization strongly preferred High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology preferred Must possess a valid US driver's licence Experience 8+ years of progressive aviation maintenance experience required Demonstrated expertise in turbine-powered aircraft required TBM aircraft or other turboprop experience strongly preferred Engine run and taxi experience preferred Requirements Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, mechanical and avionics skills Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision Advanced knowledge of aviation maintenance software and digital documentation tools Must be authorised to work in the United States Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check Additional Information STS Technical Services is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements
