Role Overview Join a life-saving team in Redding, California as an A&P Mechanic supporting one of the most respected air medical operations in the country. The role carries a sign-on bonus of up to $30,000 and a location bonus of up to 15%, and suits an experienced mechanic who takes pride in precision and safety. Key Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance, inspections and repairs to ensure aircraft remain airworthy and mission-ready Notify the Lead Mechanic of any schedule changes, technical challenges or unusual maintenance requirements Manage all maintenance activity for assigned aircraft, including stock level reviews and parts requisition Maintain the safety and security of all company assets at the assigned base Prepare reports, requisitions and inventories, and certify maintenance work in accordance with FAA, manufacturer and company standards Maintain detailed, accurate records in RAMCO, including removals, installations and work package documentation Collaborate with the Lead Mechanic, AMBS and other team members to ensure timely job completion Maintain company tools and ensure calibration and accountability Perform other related duties as assigned Licences & Qualifications FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings High school diploma or equivalent required Experience Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Aircraft Mechanic Preferred for the roving maintenance team: sheet metal repair and/or avionics troubleshooting and repair experience Requirements Strong communication, organisation and computer skills Must pass a pre-placement physical exam (including lifting up to 100 lbs), drug screening and background check Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes with short notice, and flexibility to work night shifts as needed 7&7 rotation schedule based in Redding, California Must live within one hour or 60 miles of base, whichever is greater Travel between bases required What We Offer Hourly rate of $34.54 to $48.63 Annual earnings potential of $82,620 to $116,323 Sign-on bonus up to $30,000 for eligible California candidates Location bonus up to 15% Overtime and double-time earning potential Shift incentives, annual safety and employee bonuses, and a comprehensive benefits package Additional Information Core competencies for the role are safety (committed to Destination Zero: zero accidents, zero harm), efficiency, quality and service to customers, communities and teammates.
