Role Overview Seat Shop A Mechanic in the OSC Hangar Maintenance department, reporting to the Project Manager. The role covers repair and alteration of flight deck and crew rest area seats, including their removal and installation on aircraft in the hangar and on the flight line as required. Key Responsibilities Repair or alter flight deck and crew rest area seats, including removal and installation on aircraft, in the hangar and/or on the flight line as required Complete the required seat inspection cards for each aircraft check Remove, repair and install cargo area smoke curtains Carry out bench shop work on the repair and overhaul of flight deck seats Read, write, speak and understand English and approved repair data Follow safety rules and procedures and keep the work area clean and neat Licences & Qualifications Licence: Must possess an Airframe licence Must be a US citizen Requirements Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Able to read, write, speak and understand English; able to write routine reports and correspondence, and to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff Must have safety toe boots or shoes Must have basic hand tools and a drill/driver Additional Information Physical demands: The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk or hear, and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
Requirements
