About the Company Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), designs, develops, manufactures, markets, services and supports the world's most technologically advanced business jet aircraft. Role Overview Responsible for implementing, managing and enforcing Repair Station quality policies and procedures. The manager runs specific sections of the department and implements plans and instructions that support departmental policies. Key Responsibilities Ensure the Repair Station complies with all applicable regulatory requirements and manufacturers' recommendations Manage the planning and development of the quality standards, methods and procedures the Repair Station uses to comply with regulatory requirements, and ensure effective use of labour and materials Maintain working relationships with local regulatory authorities, OEMs and vendors to support the Repair Station's continued growth and successful daily operation Establish procedures for completing, maintaining and filing all inspection forms and documents used by the Repair Station Establish training programmes that continually upgrade employees' technical capabilities and knowledge of governing procedures, regulations and requirements Promote and foster departmental goals and objectives, and reinforce company values and goals with an emphasis on safety Appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, address complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner Assign tasks to subordinate employees to meet company and customer needs, and hire qualified personnel as the need arises Prepare departmental budgets and establish procedures and controls to keep expenditure within company guidelines Coordinate projects and activities between Gulfstream facilities Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Regulatory knowledge: comprehensive knowledge of FAA FAR Part 145 and associated guidance material, and of Part 43, Part 91, Part 121 and Part 135 as they apply to work carried out under the Repair Station certificate Documentation: extensive understanding of FAA regulatory documentation requirements, including FAA Orders, Advisory Circulars, FAA Form 337, FAA Form 8130-3, FAA Form 8110, Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and other applicable FAA records Technical: advanced knowledge of aircraft inspection and certification processes, various aircraft systems and configurations, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, and technical reference manuals and engineering documentation Thorough knowledge of quality management policies, procedures and related technical data Proficiency in corporate software applications and business systems supporting quality, inspection and regulatory compliance activities Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language Licences & Qualifications FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) licence required Bachelor's degree in aviation sciences, quality systems or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job An A&P licence plus four years of related quality experience may offset the bachelor's degree Experience Six years of technical experience on Part 25 aircraft working with a highly regulated quality assurance system Three years in a supervisory capacity Additional Information Department: Quality Assurance Employment type: Full-time Shift: First Travel: Up to 25% Posting end date: 27 August 2026 Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position, unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee.
Requirements
