Job Description

Role Overview The QC Assurance Specialist is responsible for accomplishing the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS) functions required by CFR 121.373, conducting thorough examinations, surveillance and analysis of the total maintenance system to ensure compliance and effectiveness with company procedures and federal regulations. Key Responsibilities Perform internal and external audits and provide audit and analysis reports as required. Evaluate and oversee Airworthiness Directive and other applicable regulatory compliance for a Part 121 air carrier, identifying hazards and potential regulatory compliance and safety violations. Provide support to the company Internal Evaluation Department (IEP). Detect and analyse trends of programme weaknesses or deficiencies. Perform risk assessment and detailed root cause analysis including human factors. Evaluate corrective action plans for effectiveness. Support Engineering and Maintenance Program functions, including the FAA-approved Reliability Program, as needed. Licences & Qualifications A&P licence. High school diploma or GED. Experience 7 years' work experience in maintenance of Part 121 or military aircraft; a two-year degree in an aircraft technology related field may replace two years of that experience. Working knowledge of Boeing manuals and service bulletins and of the ABX Air suite of maintenance manuals. Working knowledge of CFR 121 and an understanding of FAA regulations. Preferred: CASS and/or CASE auditing and analysis experience, previous technical writing experience, knowledge and experience in risk assessment and root cause analysis, and experience with MXI.
