Role Overview The Professional Simulator Instructor is part of Envoy's Air Operations Training Department and is responsible for delivering pilot Integrated Procedures Training, including Advanced Simulator Training, for Part 121 air carrier pilots on initial, transition, upgrade and recurrent training courses. The role plays a vital part in delivering quality, specialised training to the pilot team. Key Responsibilities Deliver pilot Integrated Procedures Training and Advanced Simulator Training for initial, transition, upgrade and recurrent courses Provide standardised training of pilots within the Advanced Qualification Program Follow instructor lesson plans to prepare students for aircraft certification Evaluate student progress and performance Prepare and submit documents and reports after training completion Maintain instructor standardisation Licences & Qualifications Licence: must hold a current Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) Bachelor's degree, or a combination of education and related experience Upon hire, must fulfil the requirements of the Instructor Flightdeck Observations Program Experience Minimum of one year as PIC or SIC on a turbojet aircraft Preferred: previous EMB 175 experience Preferred: instructor experience Requirements Minimum age 21 Excellent communication and organisation skills Able to work effectively in a team environment and prioritise work and projects to meet competing deadlines Willing and able to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays and rotating days off; 10 days off per month Able to read, write, fluently speak and understand English Legal right to work in the United States Preferred: proficiency with Microsoft products such as Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word What We Offer A $15,000 training bonus, provided on successful completion of training Employee flight privileges within the American Airlines global network Training and development programmes Comprehensive health and life benefits (subject to location) Per diem or meal expenses when away from home base Additional Information Work assignments include 20-30% travel. This is a management-level position; the post-holder is a non-seniority-list pilot and will not fly company aircraft. Requirements
