About the Company At the Donauworth site, on the banks of the Danube near Augsburg, Airbus Helicopters develops helicopters from the first idea through to the flight-ready product, and tests them from its own test airfield. Role Overview Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Flight Test Engineer to support the flight test organisation in Donauworth. You fly as part of the flight crew on production and development test flights and take responsibility for the safe, standardised conduct of ground and flight testing. Key Responsibilities Fly as part of the flight crew on production and flight-test flights on helicopters. Carry out ground runs on helicopters. Conduct flight testing with the highest regard for flight safety and in compliance with all applicable regulations and documents. Prepare those documents and liaise with the airworthiness authorities. Comply with and improve internal processes. Coordinate between Flight Line, Quality and Engineering. Set and maintain standardisation for ground runs. Produce documents, test protocols and flight test reports. Take part in extended test campaigns and business travel. Licences & Qualifications Completed degree in aerospace engineering or a comparable technical degree. Completed Class 2 flight test engineer training. Licence: private pilot licence PPL(A/H). Medical: medical fitness class 1/2. Radio telephony certificate in English. Experience Professional experience in engineering functions. High degree of flexibility and mobility, for example six months of training in the USA. Requirements Languages: advanced English and German.
