About the Company The A220 commercial aircraft programme is headquartered in Mirabel, in the greater Montreal area, close to the city of Montreal. Role Overview The A220 commercial aircraft programme is seeking preflight mechanical inspectors to join the team based in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada. The role suits candidates with industrial sector experience, aerospace sector experience, or those new to the field who are motivated to grow and develop new skills. Key Responsibilities Conduct inspections of aircraft airframes, engines and functional equipment to ensure compliance with the standards and specifications set out in the drawings and/or manuals. Approve any aircraft or component within your authority. Manage all files, registrations and regulations applicable to the aircraft. Maintain aircraft logbooks up to date for quality audits. Perform other related duties, which may vary depending on experience and qualifications. Licences & Qualifications A Diploma of College Studies (DCS) or Attestation of College Studies (ACS) in aircraft maintenance plus five years of experience; or An M2 licence plus five to ten years of experience; or A minimum of five years of experience as a preflight mechanic (internally classified 460) within the last five years. Requirements Autonomy, initiative and the ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to work in enclosed spaces. Willingness to work at heights of up to 30 feet on a regular basis. Ability to adopt and maintain different physical positions as required by the job.
