About the Company Leading Edge Aviation is a commercial pilot training academy running integrated and modular EASA and UK CAA licence courses, with campuses in Oxford in the United Kingdom and in Alhama de Murcia in Spain. Role Overview Leading Edge Aviation is recruiting a Multi Engine Flight Instructor to join the team at its growing campus in Alhama de Murcia. The company is looking for passionate and qualified individuals to deliver high-quality training to motivated students. Working on the company's fleet of aircraft, you will deliver both integrated and modular EASA and UK CAA licence courses, providing expert instruction in either VFR or IFR flying, depending on your experience. The company is as committed to your career progression as you are and has established in-house pathways to help you develop your abilities as a flight instructor, including gaining instrument ratings and progressing into management positions. The Alhama de Murcia base benefits from great weather and long daylight hours. Through the summer this allows for maximum flying time, while a reduced schedule is operated over the winter months. The role is available on either a part-time or a full-time basis; please indicate your preference when applying. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role. Key Responsibilities Flight Training Deliver high-quality, engaging, standardised flight training Ensure that course standards, training requirements and objectives are taught properly and in a timely manner, following direction from the Head of Training (HoT), the Chief Flight Instructor (CFI) and their deputies Manage student progress appropriately and report any deficiencies to the CFI Complete all non-flying assignments, including Duty Instructor and classroom briefings, and manage students effectively through the course, reporting any issues in a timely manner Identify any improvements to the practical instruction and/or training standards, working actively with those responsible to improve safety and quality levels within the academy continuously Monitor the technical and internal status and cleanliness of all aircraft and simulators used for training, reporting discrepancies and verifying that all equipment is airworthy and suitable for training or operating Comply fully with the orders given in the company FCOM and ensure that students understand and comply with those SOPs Complete all other reasonable duties as directed by the HoT and CFI Flight Safety Promote safe behaviour among students, peers and staff at all times on the ground and in the air, in full compliance with Leading Edge Aviation's safety policies Ensure all students throughout the academy are taught and maintain the principles and practices of flight safety Participate actively in the company Safety Management System, including filing Air Safety Reports (ASRs), attending safety briefings and remaining vigilant for any perceived unsafe behaviour or actions Adhere at all times to any other safety standards that may be issued from time to time, whether at the home base or at third-party airports Administration Maintain your own logbook accurately in line with company and national regulations Complete student training records appropriately and in a timely manner, checking student logbooks as required Attend all administrative, standardisation and instructor development meetings and in-service training as programmed Play a part in wider company life, such as attending open days and events when requested Demonstrate and uphold the company's core values in all actions, decisions and interactions Licences & Qualifications Prerequisite requirements: EASA FCL (UK CAA FCL or UK CAA FCL900 desirable) FI(A) rating, a & b (FI(A) d, e, g desirable) Class 1 medical from the related authorities, valid for at least 6 months MEP (Land) rating Requirements A passion for aviation To have and maintain the highest personal and professional standards Maintain your licence, ratings and medical in line with company requirements and applicable aviation authority regulations Ability to work independently and on your own initiative when appropriate Strong report writing, systems and IT skills A flexible approach, with the ability to work shifts as per the established rota Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a positive and enthusiastic outlook Demonstrable alignment with the company's core values in attitude, conduct and work ethic What We Offer Salary up to EUR 55,000 per annum subject to qualifications, reviewed annually (range EUR 38,000 - EUR 55,000 per year) Competitive uncapped bonus scheme, subject to realistic and achievable targets Accommodation allowance of EUR 3,000 per annum Commitment to your career progression, including upskilling to the next level of flight instructor Generous holiday entitlement of 30 calendar days plus public holidays, rising with service An Airspace day for what matters to you Employee referral scheme Relocation assistance up to EUR 1,500 Loss of licence insurance Reimbursement of all rating and medical renewals and revalidations Free on-site parking Additional Information Our culture: at Leading Edge Aviation, the company's vision, mission and values guide everything it does. Requirements
