Role Overview The MRT (Mobile Response Team) Aircraft Maintenance Technician II reports to the MRT A&P Supervisor and travels to customer aircraft to deliver the work scope efficiently, carrying out maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations under the authority of the Clay Lacy FAA-certificated repair station. Location: Santa Ana, CA (KSNA) Shift: Day shift; must be flexible Compensation: $54.00 - $60.00 per hour Sign-on bonus: $2,000.00 Travel: 75% within the Southern California region and 5% outside it Key Responsibilities Carry out troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, modifications and servicing on a variety of customer aircraft with minimal supervision Travel extensively within the region, and occasionally outside it, to customer aircraft for maintenance events and technical training Be available to work different shifts and weekends as requested to support customer needs Perform and document all completed work in accordance with current technical data and company policy Interact frequently with customers Adhere to all company, FAA and OSHA regulated policies and procedures, and maintain an outstanding attendance record Uphold and promote the Clay Lacy vision, mission and values daily Maintain proficiency with the tools, techniques and acceptable practices used in aircraft maintenance Ensure material has been properly received before installation on the aircraft Verify that material shelf life has not expired before use Verify the calibration due date and condition of calibrated tooling before use Promote an efficient and professional work environment Take part in continuous improvement projects as directed Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Basic knowledge of aircraft drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams Ability to communicate effectively with management, peers and external parties Ability to identify discrepancies Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to prioritise and organise workflow Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills Able to take the initiative and complete assigned tasks accurately and on time Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work under extreme pressure Willingness to work in confined spaces, at height and in conditions that are not environmentally controlled Licences & Qualifications Licence: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) licence required Must pass pre-employment drug screening and a background check Experience Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining, servicing and troubleshooting corporate jet aircraft as a licensed A&P technician Experience in mobile repair or AOG support environments required What We Offer Medical, dental and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and paid holidays Loss of license insurance Pet insurance options Additional wellness resources The culture is service-driven and collaborative, grounded in excellence, care, accountability and trust, supporting teams in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment where employees can perform at their best.
