Role Overview On behalf of a client, Jet Aviation Staffing is seeking an MRT (Mobile Response Team) Aircraft Maintenance Technician II. Reporting to the MRT A&P Supervisor, this position travels to customer aircraft to efficiently execute assigned work scopes, including maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations performed under the authority of the company's FAA-certificated Repair Station. Shift: day shift, must be flexible. Sign-on bonus: $2,000.00. Key Responsibilities Perform troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, modifications and servicing on a variety of customer aircraft with minimal supervision. Travel extensively within the region and occasionally outside it to reach customer aircraft for maintenance events and technical training. Be available to work different shifts and weekends as requested to support customer needs. Perform and document all completed work in accordance with current technical data and company policy. Interact frequently with customers. Adhere to all company, FAA and OSHA-regulated policies and procedures, and maintain an outstanding attendance record. Adhere to and promote the company's vision, mission and values daily, and promote an efficient, professional work environment. Maintain proficiency with tools, techniques and acceptable practices used to perform aircraft maintenance. Ensure material has been properly received before installation and verify shelf life has not expired. Verify calibrated tooling calibration due date and condition prior to use. Participate in continuous improvement projects as directed. Perform other duties as assigned. Licences & Qualifications Airframe & Powerplant licence required. Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check. Experience Minimum of 3 years' experience maintaining, servicing and troubleshooting corporate jet aircraft as a licensed A&P technician. Experience in mobile repair or AOG support environments is required. Requirements Basic knowledge of aircraft drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams. Ability to communicate effectively with management, peers and external parties, and to identify discrepancies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritise and organise workflow. Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, with initiative to execute assigned tasks promptly and flawlessly. Strong teamwork acumen with the ability to work under extreme pressure. Willingness to work in confined spaces, at heights and in non-environmentally controlled conditions. Travel: 75% travel within the Southern California region and 5% outside it. What We Offer Likely pay range of $54.00-$60.00 per hour. This is not a guarantee of compensation; the hourly wage is set based on experience, geographic location and possibly other requirements. $2,000 sign-on bonus.
