Job Description

Role Overview Are you ready to take on a dynamic role where you can make a real impact on fleet reliability and operational efficiency? TUI is looking for a proactive and skilled MOC Support Engineer to provide top-tier technical support to engineers and flight operations on a 24/7/365 basis. As MOC Support Engineer you will be part of a shift-based team delivering world-class technical support across the group and will be involved in all aspects relating to the continued technical availability of the group fleet. You will report to the MOC Duty Manager. Key Responsibilities Monitoring and reviewing the Aviatar digital platform for failure trends and aircraft system performance, then planning and implementing troubleshooting and rectification using in-depth system knowledge to improve fleet reliability Monitoring repetitive and repeat defects and coordinating rectification work scopes promptly to reduce schedule interruptions Liaising with engineering support departments on all operational matters Participating in daily calls with key line stations and third-party bases to discuss current aircraft defects, aircraft operational status and planned night-stop maintenance, establishing on-the-day capability, maximising available ground time and realising E&M productivity benefits including with contracted partners Monitoring fleet performance downgrades and communicating them to the operations team, liaising with Flight Ops and the TUI Operations Control Centre so that TOCC, GOC and Flight Operations teams have the most up-to-date fleet operational status Monitoring and reacting to ACARS (Aircraft Communication Addressing and Reporting System) messages to respond promptly to flight crew technical requests, reducing potential flight delay codes and improving on-time performance Assisting the MOC Engineers with AOG recovery organisation, including spares requirements, technical documentation, travel and accommodation, to reduce AOG recovery times Assisting the MOC team with structural repair coordination, including OEM communications Producing service orders and associated maintenance data for non-contracted MROs as ad-hoc maintenance requirements arise Supporting the operation in a hands-on role where needed, in either base or line maintenance environments Requirements A logical thinker able to generate ideas, alternatives and solutions Excellent communication skills, able to discuss and explain complex situations across all areas of the business Able to make decisions based on operational risk with respect to denied boarding compensation Strong organisational skills and sound office IT skills Willingness to support the operation at short notice, including overseas, when required Licences & Qualifications Ability to hold a CAA or EASA A or B licence is preferred but not essential A recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience Experience Significant technical and troubleshooting experience Knowledge of and experience with the Boeing BCS system Significant experience of aircraft-on-ground resolution, both hands-on and in detailed recovery planning Excellent knowledge of AMOS, including maintenance planning functions and modification control What We Offer Personal benefits: attractive remuneration, discretionary bonus schemes, generous travel benefits, extensive health and wellbeing support and more Flexible working: a dynamic working environment that encourages a healthy work-life balance A career to shape: access the TUI Learning Hub to level up and reach your ambitions Broaden your network: intercultural collaboration and opportunities to work on global projects and teams Community: get involved with local charity and sustainability initiatives such as the TUI Care Foundation Additional Information TUI embraces diversity, equity and inclusion, and is committed to supporting candidates with disabilities and impairments, so please let the company know if you require any support. Requirements

  • Monitoring and reviewing the Aviatar digital platform for failure trends and aircraft system performance, then planning and implementing troubleshooting and rectification using in-depth system knowledge to improve fleet reliability
