Job Description

Role Overview This is not a typical line maintenance role. As an MOC Engineer you will be at the heart of the operation, making real-time decisions that directly affect aircraft availability and the flying programme across the TUI Group. You will provide critical technical leadership on a 24/7/365 basis, ensuring safe, efficient and timely operations across the global fleet. This is a shift-based role working 12-hour shifts on a pattern of 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off. Key Responsibilities Providing real-time technical support and troubleshooting guidance to flight crew and engineers across the global network Leading defect management calls with line stations and third-party providers, ensuring clear operational visibility Proactively managing deferred defects and maintenance activity to protect aircraft availability Working closely with Flight Operations and Base Maintenance to maintain fleet readiness and minimise disruption Coordinating worldwide line maintenance activities as the central point of control for engineering operations Taking ownership of AOG situations, driving recovery plans and directing resolution across multiple stakeholders Acting as the key interface between Line Maintenance, Part M and support departments on airworthiness matters Liaising directly with OEMs including Boeing and component manufacturers on complex technical issues Analysing component trends and driving effective troubleshooting strategies Optimising maintenance planning through effective use of the MEL Providing hands-on operational support where required Deputising for the MOC Duty Manager when needed Requirements Confident working in a fast-paced, high-pressure operational environment Solid working knowledge of AMOS and maintenance planning systems A problem-solver who thinks logically and makes sound decisions quickly Strong communicator, able to translate complex technical issues across teams Able to balance operational priorities with commercial impact, for example delay costs Organised, adaptable and confident managing multiple priorities Willing to travel at short notice to support operational requirements Licences & Qualifications A valid CAA or EASA B1 or B2 licence A recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship or equivalent Experience Strong experience in AOG recovery and operational decision-making What We Offer Personal benefits: attractive remuneration, discretionary bonus schemes, generous travel benefits, extensive health and wellbeing support and more Flexible working: a dynamic working environment that encourages a healthy work-life balance A career to shape: access the TUI Learning Hub to level up and reach your ambitions Broaden your network: intercultural collaboration and opportunities to work on global projects and teams Community: get involved with local charity and sustainability initiatives such as the TUI Care Foundation Additional Information TUI embraces diversity, equity and inclusion, and is committed to supporting candidates with disabilities and impairments, so please let the company know if you require any support. Requirements
