Role Overview Maintenance Supervisor in the Maintenance department at Los Angeles, CA, reporting to the LAX Maintenance Manager. Full-time, third shift. The role carries responsibility for station personnel and for the effective and economical delivery of maintenance work. Key Responsibilities Responsible for all station personnel, including FMEs, with regard to administrative requirements, training schedules, work performance and compliance with the company policies and procedures contained in the GMM Perform a weekly check to confirm all required training is current for assigned personnel, and ensure due or overdue training is completed Develop and maintain sound personnel and labour relations, employee safety awareness and open communication within the department Ensure the department's functions are planned and carried out effectively and economically Coordinate with the required management personnel to ensure effective completion of maintenance, preventive maintenance, alteration and repair of company aircraft and ground support equipment Schedule manpower of the proper skill level for maintenance functions through coordination with the Hangar, Engine Shop or Station Managers Responsible for the discipline and efficient utilisation of the production personnel under supervision, including disciplinary action and recommending termination Ensure tools, spare parts and assigned equipment are cared for per company policy and are readily available when needed Coordinate and communicate with Managers and Maintenance Control Revise manuals within the department, ensure the revision status is current and return signed revision transmittals Ensure personnel are using current working copies of the manuals relevant to the job at hand Perform other duties assigned by the Station Manager, Maintenance Manager, Engine Shop Manager or Director of Maintenance Licences & Qualifications Licence: FAA Airframe & Power Plant certificate; must be appropriately certificated under 14 CFR Part 65 High school graduate; some college and/or technical school desirable Experience At least 1 year of experience maintaining the same category and class of aeroplanes operated by Kalitta Air Requirements Must be organised and able to work with computers and programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook Able to read, write, speak and understand English; able to write routine reports and correspondence, and to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff Must be authorised to work in the United States Additional Information Physical demands: The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, talk or hear, and use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The noise level is usually loud.

Requirements
