If you join us, you can play your part as a Maintenance Pilot. The Role As a Maintenance Pilot, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This is a highly autonomous position requiring significant military aviation experience and a thorough understanding of operating from both military and civilian airfields. Your flying expertise will play a vital role in maintaining aircraft readiness and supporting operational commitments across the UK. Day-to-day you'll be: Conducting aircraft delivery and positioning flights to maintenance and training locations Operating safely and effectively from military and civilian airfields Maintaining compliance with aviation regulations, operating procedures, and safety requirements Supporting aircraft availability through the timely completion of flying tasks Collaborating with operational, training, and maintenance stakeholders to achieve programme objectives This role is based primarily at RAF Cranwell, with duties also supporting RAF Wittering and other LAFT locations as required. The position operates on a zero-hours contract and may require travel and occasional overnight stays in support of operational tasking. Essential Experience Extensive experience operating within a military aviation environment Experience operating from military and civilian airfields Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong decision-making skills and situational awareness in operational flying environments Qualifications UK CAA Part-FCL Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) with Instrument Rating (IR), including PBN Single Engine Piston (Land) qualification UK CAA Class 1 Medical Certificate without limitations Previous attendance at Military Authoriser and Supervisor courses would be advantageous Previous military light aircraft instructional flying experience would be advantageous Security Clearance The successful candidate must have the ability to achieve and maintain Counter Terrorist Check (CTC) security clearance for this role.
