Role Overview The Maintenance Operations Planner makes sure aircraft maintenance program tasks are executed and completed effectively and efficiently. Based in the Operations Control Center (OCC), the planner monitors, plans, routes and schedules required maintenance on the short-range (1 to 7 day) aircraft plan. Key Responsibilities Analyse and conduct scheduling and workload planning for maximum efficiency and full compliance with maintenance requirements. Monitor, forecast and coordinate the scheduling of short-range maintenance requirements on aircraft. Use company computer systems to identify aircraft maintenance requirements and assigned or capable overnight stations, ensuring timely compliance. Monitor aircraft status and station operations, and coordinate the routing and rerouting of aircraft to handle operational irregularities while protecting the maintenance plan and company performance objectives. Coordinate and communicate all day-of operational changes affecting the maintenance plan and resolve conflicts between maintenance and the daily operational schedule. Provide constant oversight of the short-range maintenance plan, advising the Supervisor and the Maintenance Planning department of irregularities and dispatch coordinators of any routing conflicts affecting the maintenance schedule. Balance the nightly station workload and coordinate the overnight work plan with base stations so that scheduled maintenance optimises station capacity and capability. Coordinate with internal functional departments so that parts, material, tooling and manpower are available for the work being scheduled. Coordinate with OCC personnel for the ferrying or repositioning of scheduled maintenance aircraft. Create, review and issue daily work orders to the required maintenance bases via the electronic planning platform. Work closely with MOC and Liaison Engineering personnel to track and schedule fault and deferred maintenance items such as Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and Configuration Deviation List (CDL) items. Provide daily turnover communication to team members on critical tasks and items affecting the operation. Ensure all specified policies, practices and procedures are complied with. Take responsibility for the company Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and the associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Strong analytical and computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, with a strong emphasis on Excel. Ability to speak, read and write English. If hired, must be able to demonstrate authorization to work in the United States. Licences & Qualifications Preferred: FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification. Experience Preferred: college degree, or an equivalent amount of work experience, with two years of experience in aircraft maintenance scheduling, planning, programs or a related field. Additional Information This is not a supervisory position and no specific authorities are assigned. In the incumbent's absence, responsibilities are delegated to the Supervisor of Maintenance Planning. Work environment: professional office environment using standard office equipment. The role is largely sedentary, but the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb stairs, lift up to 25 lbs, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. Security clearance: all employees must pass the fingerprint-based criminal history records check (CHRC) per 49 CFR 1542.209 and a pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements
