About the Company Airbus Defence and Space has opened an Aircraft Manager position for the French Air Force MRTT fleet. The post holder will be part of the MRO network organisation based in Madrid, Spain, but will be deployed in France at the customer's sites. Role Overview Based at the Istres military base, the Aircraft Manager manages, coordinates and monitors MRTT maintenance work carried out at the customer site (Istres) or at the premises of the main subcontractors (Nîmes), and handles the customer relationship and the associated risk management. The role covers supervision of the performance and certification of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on A330 MRTT aircraft in a customer service environment, including supervision of licensed and unlicensed mechanics and of subcontractor personnel. The successful candidate joins the services department. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage quotations and offers Prepare and coordinate maintenance work in advance Achieve target costs at the required quality level, and review and monitor the schedule, defining recovery plans and rescheduling where necessary Manage the on-site customer relationship, covering schedule progress, O&A and other questions Manage risks and finalise documentation in accordance with company and customer procedures Act as Focal Point and ADS representative during maintenance activities where designated Follow ADS procedures for working party activities in terms of management, responsibilities, documentation and certification Licences & Qualifications Training in aeronautical maintenance EASA Category C licence endorsed for the A330 Experience 5 to 10 years of experience in maintenance work Fluent French and advanced English Availability to work across several sites (Istres and Nîmes) and flexibility to travel for maintenance activities and working parties Additional Information Company: Airbus Defence and Space SAS.
