Role Overview Air India is recruiting a Maintenance Engineer at Amravati to support maintenance of its Flying Training Organisation fleet. Requisition reference (SuccessFactors RMK job id): 56836744. Key Responsibilities Assist the Maintenance Manager to develop and implement a stocking system and an ERP for optimal maintenance. Implement policies and train maintenance personnel on best practices for aircraft maintenance and safety. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of aircraft maintenance, inspections and repairs. Any other additional responsibility may be assigned from time to time as a standalone project or regular work, agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR. Licences & Qualifications Minimum: AME licence in Category B1.2 or B3 or B2 (including RTR Licence). Desired: bachelor's or technical degree. Experience Minimum: 5+ years' experience in aircraft maintenance. Minimum: prior experience in a DGCA-approved organisation in FTOs / ATOs / airlines in India. Minimum: experience with single- and twin-engine fleet. Desired: 10+ years' experience in aircraft maintenance. Desired: prior experience with similar fleets (Piper PA-28 and Diamond DA42 NG aircraft). Additional Information Skills required: strong leadership, decision-making agility, strategic planning, motivational ability, communication skills, safety commitment, interpersonal skills and adaptability. Key performance indicators: AOG time for aircraft, utilisation of aircraft at the FTO and inventory stocking practices. Key interfaces: internally the Aviation Academy, AI FTO team, pilot training units, Engineering, training support staff and the Air India management team; externally FTO partners, the CAA, aircraft OEMs and MROs.
