About the Company Breeze Airways runs its Maintenance Operations Control function in support of the daily flight schedule, and asks Team Members to work in line with the Breeze Aviation Group values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity and Excellence. Role Overview Under the general direction of the Maintenance Operations Control Manager, the Maintenance Controller is responsible for daily coordination with Flight Operations and Maintenance as required to support accomplishment of the flight schedule. The position starts at ISP and then transitions to the Breeze headquarters in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. Pay: $100k+ starting pay. Key Responsibilities Alert down-line and other out-stations to secure emergency maintenance cover for unforeseen problems and ensure the right arrangements are made for timely repairs. Monitor aircraft maintenance operations and provide technical assistance so that repairs are completed in accordance with company requirements and the CFRs, maintaining safety and on-time performance. Maintain continuous liaison with the IOCC, reporting the general mechanical status of the entire fleet and coordinating maintenance requirements during irregular operations to minimise extra costs and disruption. Ensure all inoperative systems are operated and maintained in accordance with the MEL, Configuration Deviation List (CDL) or other company-approved deferrals, and take the measures needed to correct these items. Ensure timely repair of aircraft with a repetitive defect history, requesting any additional technical information needed and directing action to minimise cost and unnecessary part replacement. Coordinate with other maintenance areas to secure required components, parts and troubleshooting expertise to expedite repairs at the maintenance base or at down-line stations. Coordinate ferry flights and functional check flights with all departments concerned. Notify appropriate management Team Members in the event of an incident or accident in accordance with the ERM. Notify the DOM of any situation or practice outside Maintenance Manual requirements that could compromise safety or add unnecessary cost to the Maintenance department. Perform other duties as assigned and meet performance measures and established standards. Requirements At least 18 years of age. Able to read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine the feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Authorisation to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986. Flexible and willing to work days, nights, weekends, holidays and overtime if needed, and to work with other departments as needed. Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management. Self-starter with a positive attitude and a strong desire for success. Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test. Must pass a TSA fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check. Licences & Qualifications Current, valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant licence (A&P) with no history of infractions and recent A&P experience on turbine-powered aircraft. Preferred: four-year degree in aerospace, aviation maintenance or business; factory or equivalent training on the Embraer 190. Experience Preferred: 2+ years of maintenance planning and/or maintenance control experience. Skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and excellent verbal and written communication. Able to handle high-stress situations, multi-task easily and work with colleagues of many different personalities; must be fluent in English. What We Offer Starting pay: $100k+.
