Maintenance Control Supervisor

About the Company Mesa Airlines is a United States regional air carrier operating under FAR Part 121 with a fleet that includes Bombardier CRJ700/900 and Embraer 170-190 series aircraft. Role Overview The Maintenance Control Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of Maintenance Control and for ensuring that Maintenance Control personnel are properly trained and qualified for the job assigned. Key Responsibilities Monitor the maintenance performance of all scheduled aircraft operations. Report essential information on the status of operating aircraft. Coordinate with Dispatch on all maintenance irregularities affecting the dispatching of aircraft. Administer MEL/CDL/NEF procedures as established in the Company's General Procedures Manual. Coordinate with the FMU and with line, contract or on-call maintenance as necessary to ensure mechanical irregularities are corrected in accordance with the procedures in the Company's General Procedures Manual. Ensure data on pilot reports, ferry flights, MISs, SDR/MRs, delays and cancellations is recorded accurately in the SABRE system. Confirm that all work performed on Company aircraft is accomplished by qualified, authorised and approved personnel. Ensure on-the-job training is conducted and documented for Maintenance Controllers. Monitor daily staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for each shift. Perform additional tasks specified in the CASS/Reliability section of the Company's General Procedures Manual. Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Maintenance Control. Licences & Qualifications Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings. Experience One year of experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service. At least one year of experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as used by the Company. Working knowledge of aircraft systems and FAA regulations. Working computer knowledge and data entry skills.
