Role Overview The Line Maintenance Technician reports directly to the service centre manager / delivery engineer and is primarily responsible for delivering support to the Airbus A220 and A320 programmes at the Airbus assembly site in Mobile, Alabama. The role also covers maintaining all on-site equipment and driving continuous improvement of on-site processes. You will work closely with managers and mechanics from Airbus and will be expected to provide feedback and respond to any concerns. Work location: Onsite, 320 Airbus Way, Mobile, Alabama. Eligibility: must be authorised to work in the U.S. without company immigration sponsorship now or in the future; no immigration sponsorship or export authorisation will be offered for this role. No security clearance required. Key Responsibilities Complete, update and maintain records and databases for all maintenance performed, in accordance with FAA and Pratt & Whitney procedures. Ensure all procedural line items are performed and signed off by the appropriate personnel during the line maintenance function. Resolve Airbus aircraft delivery issues and build understanding of customer engine maintenance and repair considerations or preferences. Develop internal service centre procedures to comply with all Airbus and FAA requirements. Maintain the Pratt & Whitney on-site workshop to both P&W and Airbus audit standards. Manage tool inventory and control calibration schedules both on and off site. Manage spare part inventory, including distributing, receiving and logging parts and keeping inventory at a level capable of supporting the Airbus delivery schedule. Maintain company vehicle records and ensure all vehicles are registered for use on Airbus property. Maintain consumable inventory and ensure it meets all Airbus and P&W environment, health and safety requirements for on-site use and storage. Ensure all personal protective equipment required by P&W and Airbus is available and used by all on-site P&W personnel. Requirements AA/AS degree (or other two-year post-high-school training) with a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, or 10+ years' relevant experience without a degree. Formal propulsion system training. Previous IAE and Pratt & Whitney engine experience. Borescope inspection experience. Knowledge of installation and removal procedures for flight hardware and of engine troubleshooting. Ability to interface with the Airbus cockpit computer to evaluate and update engine and test flight anomalies, specifically obtaining trim balance solutions to reduce engine vibration to acceptable Airbus parameters. Licences & Qualifications Valued: AA/AS degree or technical school certification with an A&P licence. Valued: Pratt & Whitney NEO engine training. Experience Valued: 4+ years' engine maintenance experience. Valued: English language fluency sufficient to communicate and interpret English-language engine and aircraft manuals. What We Offer Salary range for this role: 60,000 USD to 114,000 USD. Employees in onsite roles work primarily onsite; this includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of the engines. Commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility. Requirements
