About the Company The client is a leading maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisation specialising in both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. Located in Cairns, Far North Queensland, their heavy maintenance facility continues to experience strong growth, creating opportunities for skilled and motivated individuals to join the engineering team. Role Overview This is an opportunity to join a respected aviation organisation and contribute to the delivery of high-quality maintenance outcomes in a dynamic team environment, working in the overhaul workshop. Requirements Ability to read, interpret and apply technical specifications, standards and written instructions. Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a deadline-driven environment. Excellent time management and organisational skills with strong attention to detail. Commitment to safety; employment is conditional upon satisfying aviation security and screening procedures. Current Australian driver's licence. Licences & Qualifications CASA Part 66 licence. Must hold a current ASIC card or be eligible to obtain one. Experience Part 145 experience. Overhaul workshop experience. Hands-on experience with the following aircraft components would be considered an advantage: Bell series helicopters 212/412 and 206/407 drive and power train; King Air landing gear overhaul; DH6 Twin Otter nose landing gear overhaul; wheels and brakes.
