Job Description

Role Overview Loganair has an opportunity for a Licensed Aircraft Engineer to join the team based at Glasgow. Key Responsibilities Assist the Station/Check Manager or Maintenance Supervisor in prioritising, organising and completing the maintenance workload effectively, minimising delays and disruptions. Communicate effectively with the Station/Check Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, LMC and OCC staff on the maintenance status of aircraft and whenever that position changes. Perform defect investigation and scheduled maintenance safely and cost-effectively, in compliance with the relevant approved maintenance data, organisational procedures and national authority requirements, while remaining aware of responsibilities to Loganair under Form 1004 – Terms of Maintenance Authorisation and as type-rated/authorised personnel in relation to CAP 562 – CAAIP, Leaflet H20. Debrief flying staff regarding defects and ensure this information is passed to the LMC and the Station/Check Manager or Maintenance Supervisor. Carry out the support functions necessary to maintain aircraft availability so that the flying schedule remains on target. Take responsibility for the conduct and performance of staff under your supervision. Supervise tasks as and when required by the nature of the task and the manpower available. Support the company operation at other locations when required. Communicate with fleet technical service engineers on matters of reliability, defect analysis and defect investigation through appropriate channels. Communicate with the Station/Check Manager and Maintenance Supervisor on all matters regarding efficient operation of the maintenance task, including health and safety, highlighting any shortfalls and improvements. Ensure completion of work packs, tech logs and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
