Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician - Second Shift

Job Description

Role Overview Lead Aircraft Maintenance Technician (Second Shift) in the Maintenance department, reporting to the Structures Supervisor and Structures Manager. The role plans and leads assigned structural maintenance activities. Key Responsibilities Schedule manpower to accomplish assigned structural maintenance activities Coordinate with other departments as necessary to ensure a smooth and continuous workflow Ensure that GMM, RSM and FAA regulations and procedures are followed Keep a clean and safe work area at all times, and ensure waste materials, paint, alodine and other fluids are properly handled Interface with the Structures Supervisor to recommend improvements needed to increase performance and quality Perform any other duties assigned by the Structures Supervisor or Structures Manager Licences & Qualifications Licence: FAA Airframe licence required High school graduate Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in structures maintenance and repair on commercial category aircraft Requirements Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Must be able to work overtime, weekends and days off Able to read, write, speak and understand English; able to write routine reports and correspondence, and to give verbal and written direction to assigned staff Additional Information Physical demands: The employee is regularly required to sit, talk and hear, and is frequently required to use a computer terminal, telephone and 10-key calculator. The employee is required to stand, walk and climb or descend stairs, and is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds.
