Role Objective This position serves as an Aircraft-On-Ground (AOG) A&P Technician for our external client. AOG personnel are responsible for all aspects of maintaining the aircraft in accordance with the applicable General Maintenance Manual (GMM) and all applicable FARs. This includes maintenance, inspection and repair of aircraft, special tools, and ground support equipment, as well as work order preparation, review, and completion. Safety is the primary consideration while ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations, company policies, the requirements of FAR Part 145, and all other applicable FARs that apply to the client. The AOG position requires a flexible schedule, rapid response ability and, most importantly, a positive attitude. At times the position may require last-minute travel and the ability to perform maintenance domestically and internationally. Essential Job Tasks Answer incoming maintenance calls when on duty or on call. Work with other technicians and vendors to ensure safe action plans are put in place. Inspect, maintain, and repair aircraft in accordance with aircraft manufacturers’ manuals and FARs when applicable; coordinate and document all such actions, including communications with managers and leads. Complete work orders and account for parts and billable time. Attend required training on airframe, engines, and equipment as needed. Ensure the cleanliness of work areas and follow the company’s strict standards of process, safety, and quality concern. Ensure that the hangar, vans, and other areas are maintained in a safe and orderly manner. Develop and maintain a cohesive and cooperative teamwork environment with flight crews, department managers, technicians, and other company employees. Keep company property and assets secure. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of Citation XLS, Citation Latitude, Gulfstream G-IV, G-V, Hawker 800/900XP, Global Express preferred. Knowledge of aviation procedures/servicing/maintenance. Adept in workplace safety best practices. Understanding of applicable FARs. Knowledge of computers and electronic software applications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to read, write and speak English (bilingual in Spanish is a plus). Minimum Qualifications Current US Airframe and Powerplant mechanics certificate meeting the requirements of, but not limited to, FAR Part 65.83. Prior FAR Part 145 aircraft maintenance experience. Possession of an adequate set of aircraft mechanic’s hand tools. Current driver’s license. Ability to pass a DOT background check. Able to work as part of a team in a high-stress, fast-paced environment. A self-starter, able to work with little to no guidance. Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized, with the ability to multi-task. Computer proficient (MS Office, Aviation Maintenance Software – Corridor). Travel is required. Required Education/Experience Three (3) years of proven experience in a similar position. A&P Certification. No certificate action since the date of the interview. No criminal activity since the interview date. Compensation and Benefits The likely pay range for this position is $50–$65.00/hr. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; the hourly wage will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly other requirements.
