About the Company Airbus Helicopters Japan Co. Ltd sells and supports helicopters for civil and government customers in Japan. The role sits in the Operational Division, Maintenance Department. Role Overview This is a graduate recruitment position for candidates joining in April 2027. You will train to become an aircraft maintenance mechanic supporting the safe operation of helicopters from the ground. After initial training covering the fundamentals of helicopters, the company and the mechanic's trade, you will move through on-the-job training towards maintenance and inspection work on airframes, engines and electrical systems. After joining you will work towards the national aircraft maintenance technician qualification and Airbus Helicopters group certified qualifications, learning safe and reliable maintenance techniques under the guidance of experienced veteran mechanics and in accordance with the strict safety standards of the Civil Aeronautics Act. The work carries a strong sense of mission: supporting the safety of Japan's skies and protecting human life and social infrastructure. Because a manufacturer's staff are expected to have deeper knowledge than the customer, all new entrants - regardless of academic background (science or humanities) or previous experience - build up helicopter knowledge as a mechanic in the Maintenance Department. Internal transfers may occur as your years of service increase. Career Path After Joining First 3 months to 1 year (Kobe Airport site): learn the basics of the technology and the relevant legislation while working on actual helicopters, then receive an assignment based on your preferences and aptitude. All entrants start by building helicopter knowledge from the ground up through on-the-job training in the practical maintenance division. Thereafter (Kobe Airport site), permanent assignment: start your career in the Maintenance Department based on what you learned during the training period. As you deepen your knowledge and experience you can draw up your own career plan and pursue further roles within the Maintenance Department or take on other job types within the company. Requirements Language: fluent Japanese (JLPT N2 or above). Education: graduate of a vocational school, technical college (KOSEN) or university, or above. What We Offer Starting salary, master's degree graduates: 349,359 yen per month, including 37,508 yen for 12.5 hours of fixed monthly overtime. Starting salary, university graduates and technical college advanced course graduates: 338,427 yen per month, including 37,508 yen for 12.5 hours of fixed monthly overtime. Starting salary, technical college main course graduates: 316,563 yen per month, including 37,508 yen for 12.5 hours of fixed monthly overtime. Starting salary, vocational school graduates: 312,919 to 316,563 yen per month, including 37,508 yen for 12.5 hours of fixed monthly overtime. Overtime worked beyond the fixed overtime hours is paid at the applicable premium rate. Annual holidays: 121 days. Working hours: 09:00 to 17:30.
