Role Overview Helicopter Maintenance Technicians are responsible for performing maintenance work on aircraft or components in accordance with approved data and to an approved standard. Key Responsibilities Quality, safety and environment Ensure all assigned tasks are performed in compliance with company policies, procedures and Civil Aviation regulations. Actively participate in the company's Occupational Health & Safety programme and Safety Management System. Maintenance support Ensure a safe working environment and take the necessary safety precautions. Ensure smooth workflow on assigned jobs. Ensure assigned modification, maintenance, repair or installation work is performed in compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant Civil Aviation regulations. Ensure tasks are completed in accordance with approved maintenance data. Ensure tasks are signed off immediately after completion in the computerised maintenance tracking and work order software, in line with the authorisations held. Implement remedial corrective and preventive actions where necessary. Promote quality awareness and safety practices. Perform other duties assigned by the Licensed Maintenance Engineer or Technician. Regulatory and compliance Ensure maintenance performed on assigned aircraft systems complies with relevant Civil Aviation regulations and military or OEM requirements. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements. Licences & Qualifications ICAO or equivalent licence with a minimum of one applicable type rating. Experience 3 years' experience in an aircraft maintenance facility performing system maintenance and modifications on the Bell 412. Experience in a customer-focused work environment with multiple priorities and project deadlines. Requirements Demonstrated understanding of aviation regulatory requirements for aircraft systems and maintenance. Basic computer literacy in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and computerised maintenance tracking and work order software. Company and customer focused, results oriented, proactive and self-motivated. Team player. Additional Information Physical demands: The role requires use of hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands, and talking or hearing. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk or sit, and occasionally to climb, balance, kneel, crouch or crawl. Regular lifting and moving of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of up to 25 pounds and occasional overhead lifting of up to 50 pounds is required. Close, distance, colour, peripheral and depth vision plus the ability to adjust and focus are required. Work environment: The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. Noise levels are usually moderate, with occasional high volume as aircraft arrive or depart. Frequent exposure to vibration and occasional fuel fumes should be expected, and the employee must be willing and able to work in all weather conditions; the hangar environment can be extremely hot or cold in certain seasons.
