Role Overview You will work as an Inspector supporting the Columbus Engine Center (CEC), performing detailed inspections of turbine engines, engine modules and components to ensure compliance with published work instructions, approved technical data and quality standards. Shift: Weekend shift. Work location: Onsite, 8801/8987 Macon Rd, Midland, Georgia. Eligibility: This job requires a U.S. Person, meaning a lawful permanent resident as defined in 8 U.S.C. 1101(a)(20) or a protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3). U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, U.S. permanent residents and individuals granted refugee or asylee status in the U.S. are considered U.S. persons. No security clearance is required. Key Responsibilities Use a variety of tooling and measurement equipment to inspect engine components and validate proper configuration. Provide complete and accurate documentation to support engine build. Meet production and inspection goals and objectives for the facility. Complete and review technical documentation including Fits and Clearances, Engine Inspection Reports (EIR) and SAP records. Complete and review engine package documentation. Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent. 3+ years' experience in an aviation inspection role. Licences & Qualifications Preferred: Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Licence, Powerplant (P) Licence, or 2+ years' relevant experience. Experience Preferred: turbine engine overhaul, inspection and repair experience, and precision measuring tool usage, ideally in one or more of disassembly, inspection or assembly. Preferred: ability to identify and resolve configuration and compatibility issues. Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP. Additional Information Role type: Onsite. Employees in onsite roles work primarily onsite; this includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of the engines. Commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
