Role Overview The Field Service Representative (FSR) is the customer's regional contact for obtaining technical guidance from Gulfstream's Customer Support network. Working with minimal supervision, the FSR is responsible for facilitating comprehensive, professional and timely solutions to customers' technical issues and needs. The role covers Italy and the surrounding region. Key Responsibilities Act as technical expert providing customer AOG (aircraft on ground) and non-AOG support in person or by telephone and email During AOG events, assess and identify the local operator's technical ability to support transient Gulfstream aircraft and coordinate support between Tech Ops, FAST, vendor representatives and the customer Act as subject matter expert on local customs and traditions to help resolve technical support events Work with Customer Operational Readiness (COR) to ensure a smooth transition of entry-into-service deliveries by supporting COR briefings and addressing issues and discrepancies associated with new aircraft operations Act as technical liaison between Gulfstream and the customer, maintaining clear communication of aircraft support status during events, and hold face-to-face discussions with operators on technical issues in region Escalate sensitive customer technical issues and complaints to Gulfstream management, facilitating mutually beneficial resolutions Provide problem resolution support across all Gulfstream product lines by organising and managing logistics, resources and vendors to repair aircraft anywhere in the world, on any day and at any time Guide customers on complex technical tasks and on the proper installation, service, repair, replacement, modification and maintenance of equipment and systems used with company products Gather and communicate technical data, including service fleet status squawks for troubleshooting actions and details, operational difficulties and recommended changes to procedures or systems Submit Abnormal Situation Reports (ASR) when scheduled passenger trips are affected by significant incidents, accidents or operational events Coordinate non-technical requests and escalations to Account Managers or the responsible business units Provide the Operations Manager with timely, accurate reports on significant issues, events and changes affecting customers in the assigned area, and recommend updates to Field Service departmental standard operating procedures Develop the skills and experience associated with the responsibilities of a Senior Field Service Representative Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Right to work: must be able to legally reside and be employed in Rome, Italy and/or European Union countries without visa sponsorship English language required; additional languages preferred but not required Ability to use and apply technical data (manuals, drawings, schematics and similar) Formal maintenance training on all in-production Gulfstream model aircraft highly desirable Integrated digital avionics and electrical systems maintenance and diagnostics experience highly desirable Licences & Qualifications EASA Part-66 licence B1/B2 or an FAA A&P licence required A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) licence preferred Bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance or a related curriculum, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job Experience 5 years of combined relevant experience Experience with Gulfstream and with multiple Gulfstream aircraft types preferred An A&P licence plus 4 years of related aircraft experience, in addition to 5 years of combined experience as a Gulfstream FSR, Gulfstream entry-into-service representative, Tech Ops specialist or technician maintaining or repairing Gulfstream aircraft (scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, AOG, logistics and routine servicing), may offset the bachelor's degree Additional Information Job category: Service Center Travel: Up to 75% Shift: First Employment type: Full-time Posting end date: 19 September 2026 Gulfstream does not provide work visa sponsorship for this position, unless the applicant is a currently sponsored Gulfstream employee.
Requirements
