Role Overview Perform various technical functions of aircraft maintenance, repair, replacement and modification of key aircraft components on AOG (aircraft on ground) aircraft, both on road trips and within the Customer Support organisation. The role carries out aircraft maintenance, troubleshooting and repair duties requiring accuracy and skill on live in-service customer aircraft, and supports the customer in diagnosing and resolving technical problems. This is a 100% travel, field-based position. Recruiting in the West Coast region, California exclusively. Avionics experience preferred. Key Responsibilities Be available on an on-call basis, able to be on site or dispatched on the FAST aircraft within two hours of the initial contact from Gulfstream Communicate effectively with the customer, scheduling, FAST flight crews, Tech Ops, the business office, vendors, Warranty, Field Service Representatives and Hangar Ops Act as the single point of contact between Gulfstream and the customer, correctly relaying the aircraft schedule and return-to-service expectations Perform required AOG maintenance and necessary servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems Work independently and consistently to complete assigned maintenance and avionics tasks within the quoted or standard CMP time with little or no supervision Repair, maintain, install and troubleshoot mechanical and functional components of the aircraft, including airframes, engine components, landing gear, electrical components and control systems Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements Establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the customer and provide one-on-one direct familiarization briefings during the road trip Properly identify (tag) customer property and equipment, and store aircraft components and other customer property securely and safely Follow standard operating procedures and job safety analyses (JSAs) when operating ground support equipment Operate and oversee the use of special support equipment used in the removal and installation of major components Order and receive all tooling and materials needed to service the AOG aircraft, and arrange the shipment of all core units and tooling back to Gulfstream Identify required advanced troubleshooting techniques for all aircraft models with assistance from Tech Ops Perform other duties as assigned Requirements Availability: must be on call and able to be on site or dispatched within two hours of initial contact from Gulfstream Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogues, service bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, airworthiness directives and similar) Valid driving licence required; must be able to obtain a passport Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language Licences & Qualifications A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) licence required Valid driving licence required Ability to obtain a passport required Experience High school diploma or GED required 6 years of aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical and/or mechanical), to include 2 years of relevant Gulfstream aircraft experience What We Offer Gulfstream employees benefit from a total rewards package that includes competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits plans, wellness programs, paid leave and tuition assistance. Requirements
