Role Overview This is an operations mechanic role supporting the Columbus Engine Center (CEC), Geared Turbofan (GTF) or Military Engine Center of Excellence (MECoE) in Disassembly, Assembly and Test (DAT). Assembly and disassembly: work with assigned personnel or independently to perform flight-quality jet engine assembly and disassembly or related operations, using prescribed techniques to keep work flowing through the process and meet the production schedule and business commitments Test: work with assigned personnel to perform test operations in accordance with applicable technical data and published standard practices, and assist in the set-up and operation of test facilities including special test equipment All functions must be performed according to Pratt & Whitney, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and quality policies, along with other related work assignments as required or directed by supervision. Key Responsibilities Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine, engine module or component maintenance in accordance with published work instructions and approved technical data Use common hand tools and a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to assemble, disassemble and test jet engines Ensure all phases of assembly and disassembly specified by work instructions comply with required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes, adhering to quality standards Monitor and ensure processes meet safety, quality and delivery objectives Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent 1+ years' experience in an aviation mechanic role, or appropriate technical training such as ASE certification or a military mechanic equivalent Basic understanding of DAT (Disassembly, Assembly, Test) U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorised to access information under this programme or contract. No security clearance is required. Employees in onsite roles work primarily onsite, including all production and maintenance workers. Commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility. Pratt & Whitney Columbus, Georgia is an FAA-regulated facility under the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration. This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines, and the candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and to ongoing random testing as an employee under FAA regulation 14 CFR Part 120 and 49 CFR Part 40. Requirements

• Assembly and disassembly: work with assigned personnel or independently to perform flight-quality jet engine assembly and disassembly or related operations, using prescribed techniques to keep work flowing through the process and meet the production schedule and business commitments
• Test: work with assigned personnel to perform test operations in accordance with applicable technical data and published standard practices, and assist in the set-up and operation of test facilities including special test equipment
• Work as a member of a team responsible for turbine engine, engine module or component maintenance in accordance with published work instructions and approved technical data
• Use common hand tools and a wide variety of tooling and fixtures to assemble, disassemble and test jet engines
• Ensure all phases of assembly and disassembly specified by work instructions comply with required self-inspection or peer inspection of critical processes, adhering to quality standards
• Monitor and ensure processes meet safety, quality and delivery objectives
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• 1+ years' experience in an aviation mechanic role, or appropriate technical training such as ASE certification or a military mechanic equivalent
• Basic understanding of DAT (Disassembly, Assembly, Test)
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorised to access information under this programme or contract. No security clearance is required.
• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) licence or Powerplant (P) certificate
• Basic understanding of Raytheon's CORE Operating System
