Experienced Avionics Technician (2nd Shift)

Job Description

Role Overview We are hiring immediately for an Avionics Technician. In this role you can expect to perform functional testing, troubleshooting and repair of avionics systems on board aircraft at a Textron Aviation Service Center, helping to ensure the safety and efficiency of the aircraft and maintaining high aviation standards. Key Responsibilities Functional testing: isolate and repair avionics system issues based on customer complaints, following FAA procedures Problem diagnosis: analyse in-flight data and customer feedback to diagnose and correct issues Troubleshooting: identify and resolve defects in units and wiring discrepancies Component replacement: replace defective units, repair wiring and modify aircraft as needed Flight testing: accompany pilots to conduct functional tests on repaired or aligned systems as required Instruction compliance: perform duties based on aircraft orders, wiring diagrams and both oral and written instructions Requirements High school diploma or GED required Minimum of 2 years' experience in aircraft avionics system troubleshooting and repair required Ability to obtain and maintain an airport security badge through the local airport authority, where applicable Licences & Qualifications Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification is helpful Additional Information This is a 2nd shift position. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, those listed above.
