About the Company Airbus (Chengdu) Lifecycle Services Ltd (ALS) provides aircraft maintenance, storage, engine and dismantling services in Chengdu, China. Role Overview This position provides engineering service for preparing, scheduling and following up various maintenance, storage, engine and/or dismantling work. The jobholder prepares the work, ensures the follow-up and provides mechanics and technicians with technical support, determining solutions — especially in the structure domain — in accordance with the manufacturer's guidelines. Fixed-term, full-time contract. Key Responsibilities Prepare and set up the items of the maintenance, storage, engine and/or dismantling work site (work package, scheduling) in accordance with the protocol provided by the customer and customised manufacturer documentation (AMM, IPC, etc.). Establish work orders in accordance with the latest updates of the manufacturer's documentation, and check and update them in line with the aircraft schedule. Provide approved data for all work to be performed — maintenance, modifications or repairs — in accordance with the organisation's procedures and CAAC/EASA/NAA rules and requirements. State work requirements in accordance with the technical documentation and the work protocol/programme provided by the customer. Produce all documents required to complete contracted work and meet allocated deadlines; ensure every job on aircraft has a work order saved in the system. Assist in the follow-up and management of schedules (start of workshop, end of TA, TC workshop). Ensure the aircraft's technical documentation is available to work staff in coordination with the Project Manager, and distribute documentation early enough for Production, Procurement and GSE & Tooling to deliver staff, equipment and tooling on time. Manage the follow-up and tracing of removed parts, including equipment, in coordination with the ordering officers. Observe technical problems encountered on the aircraft during site inspections, propose technical support to teams on site and provide operating experience. Participate in the continuous improvement of assistance documents, tools and procedures with the Quality Department and the technical teams; assist the Project Manager on request. Act as technical focal point for managing the work package alongside the Project Manager, and ensure the technical follow-up of maintenance, storage and dismantling work. Prepare and manage additional work: non-routine cards, customer work orders and deferred work initiated by the Project Manager. Issue the CAAC/EASA Form 1 and manage all technical records needed to ensure an appropriate CRS can be produced. Prepare the items of the release file with the assistance of "C" staff by approving the work package, and produce RTS supporting documentation in accordance with the customer contract and CAA/EASA/NAA requirements. Ensure the follow-up of airworthiness directives (AD) applicable to the aircraft and equipment. Participate in customer reporting as required, in support of the Project Manager. Carry out all checks and tests required to ensure technical compliance and traceability of the services provided; check and/or draft analysis reports. Communicate with manufacturers in technical English and read drawings. Summarise maintenance, storage, engine and/or dismantling work to capitalise on experience acquired, and assess the project's positive and negative aspects. Issue the end-of-work file (CRS, RCT), close the work pack with release documents and finalise the aircraft file. Update the tech log book to release the aircraft: answer the tech log points and manage deferred work. Release customer orders and keep the ERP database up to date (work orders, supplies, tools) in line with the manufacturer's technical documentation. Library and publication management: keep aircraft documents current and available for all ALS operational activities and staff, and dispatch documentation to the relevant ALS organisations and people. Technical records management: manage all technical records during and after maintenance check embodiment. Other tasks assigned by the manager. Requirements Command of technical English. Knowledge of aircraft technical documents and of aeronautical regulations (Part 145, FAA, etc.). Knowledge of aircraft structures and strength of materials, map reading, and general aeronautical knowledge. Customer and manufacturer relationship culture; computer literacy. Able to prepare and monitor the progress of work and ensure deadlines are met, draft documents related to the current work site, and use the computer and technical documentation tools provided. Soft skills: rigorous and organised, team spirit, responsiveness, flexibility and adaptability, analysis and overview, relational skills. Licences & Qualifications Required: CCAR Part-66R3 licence, category TA, with English level 4. Preferred: Airbus and/or Boeing type rating training — A320 and A330. Education: BTS or two years of higher education in aeronautics or equivalent; three years of higher education in aeronautical maintenance or aeronautical design and production, or equivalent; aeronautical, mechanical or general engineer's degree (five years of higher education) or equivalent; aeronautical diploma course. Experience At least 8 years' experience in the aviation maintenance industry. At least 5 years' experience in engineering-related positions.
