About the Company Rishworth Aviation is recruiting for a leading airline in the United Arab Emirates. Role Overview The Duty Manager - Light Maintenance will oversee daily light maintenance operations, ensuring scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements. Working closely with senior management, the Maintenance Control Centre (MCC) and engineering teams, the role supports fleet availability, coordinates maintenance priorities, maintains aircraft certification and airworthiness standards, and leads maintenance personnel to achieve operational excellence while fostering a strong safety culture through training, development and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time permanent position which requires relocation, with visa and education sponsorship provided for successful candidates. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily light maintenance operations to the highest standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance. Verify that all engineers and technicians hold valid licences, authorisations and required certifications for their assigned duties. Exercise certification privileges to inspect, approve and release maintenance work once tasks are confirmed complete in accordance with approved technical data and procedures. Ensure aircraft maintenance records, technical documentation and release-to-service requirements are accurately completed and processed within required timeframes. Coordinate closely with Aircraft Maintenance Supervisors and engineering teams to ensure effective communication, shift continuity and seamless execution of maintenance activities. Monitor workforce availability, employee wellbeing and resource utilisation to support efficient maintenance planning and delivery. Promote compliance with health, safety, environmental and company standards, maintaining a safe, secure and professional working environment. Implement Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives, support risk assessment activities and drive continuous improvement in safety and operational performance. Manage shift handovers effectively, ensuring critical technical information, ongoing tasks and operational priorities are accurately communicated between teams. Support employee development by encouraging participation in training programmes and monitoring qualification, authorisation and training validity. Maintain high standards of housekeeping across maintenance facilities, work areas, tooling locations and support equipment areas. Respond to operational incidents and safety events, ensuring timely reporting, investigation and implementation of corrective actions. Licences & Qualifications Valid GCAA AMEL, or a licence convertible to GCAA requirements (GACA / QCAA / EASA / UK CAA / CAAS / HKCAD). Experience Minimum 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role. Experience managing base / light maintenance operations within an airline or MRO. What We Offer Full-time permanent position with a leading UAE airline.
